The EHM project is pleased to announce that a further collection of British Colonial Office documents consisting of original correspondence and records concerning British Malaya, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong from 1844–1997 will be accessible on the EHM website from early May 2026.

Notable highlights included in this new collection relate to the formation of the Federation of Malaya, WWII intelligence, political developments leading up to Malaysia’s independence, the Malayan Emergency, and post-colonialism.

The new additions also include some related documents about the history of Hong Kong and modern China.
